Welcome to Windy Hallows

Windy Hallows creates original theatrical productions with themes of mental health awareness. Focusing predominately on the stories of children, Windy Hallows hopes to give a voice to the complex narratives that children experience.

From the haunted mind of Creative Director, Erika Jenko, the plays are unearthed from Erika’s own experiences navigating OCD and major depression as a child. Windy Hallows seeks to create macabre tales that are full of whimsy, darkness and understanding.

Windy Hallows is dedicated in loving memory to Erika’s grandma. A woman who celebrated Halloween daily and was known as ‘Windy’ by her inner circle. Erika attributes her compass that has always pointed toward writing and directing to her grandma, who wrote and directed children’s plays in her own backyard in support of foster care services in the LA area. At Windy’s sprawling home, you felt like your adventurous spirit was allowed to break free. You felt like the darkness within you had a safe and loving home. And most of all, you felt love and support for the things that were unique to you. Infusing the essence of what Windy hoped for others into our productions, we hope you also feel safe and seen behind our rusted gates.
