Penelope
An Original Play
Written/Directed by: Erika Jenko
We’re all alone in the dark…
Artists Joe & Celeste become haunted by the nightmarish lore of their fisherman town as they navigate grief and their inability to be an ‘ordinary.’ There’s one story they must face to survive it.
Tell me her story.
Tell me her story.
Tell me her story.
Penelope premiered July 2024 at The Immersive Arts Center in DTLA

Matt Keim
Joe
Matt Keim is an actor/filmmaker from Centreville, Virginia. This is his second production working with Erika, and he could not be more excited and flattered to be entrusted with bringing this story to life. He has studied Meisner Technique extensively under Tony Savant through Playhouse West, and has a degree in Film and Theater from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On the show: "This production is a poignant story of love, loss, and pain, and I am truly grateful to be part of such a production, both as someone who has struggled with mental health in the past, and as an actor who wants to be a part of impactful storytelling. It’s an immersive, creepy, and deeply heartfelt show that I hope reaches the audience the way it’s touched me".

Erika Jenko
Shadow/Writer/Director
Erika is a writer/director and the creature behind Windy Hallows. Recent works include The Firefly Web (Winner Best Production & Best Director SheLA 2022 Theatre Festival) and Up Here, Down There (Immersive Art Collective). Erika is a damn lucky creature and can’t believe she gets to play make believe with Jill & Matt. Massive thank you to Immersive Art Collective for their support. When she’s not making theatre, Erika can be found bringing vintage furniture back from the dead, decapitating dolls and writing by candlelight in an actual notebook. And collecting rocks and pinecones. So many rocks. And pinecones.
